A tasty Graduation….
Michigan State University Extension held a graduation ceremony Tuesday, Feb 2, 2010 at GLC HOPE Ministries Lois Brail holds a 8 week Nutrition and Cooking Class for eligible residents at the Greenville rescue mission as part of their educational program. Each man receives a certificate of completion for their accomplishments but most importantly they receive valuable information on good eating choices, how to shop wisely , how create and cook nutritional meals. These same classes will soon be available to the public at GLC HOPE Ministries by Michigan State University Extension. Feb. 11, 2010, Kids from Carson City/ Carson City Crystal delivered over 1,450 rolls of toilet tissue and various paper products to GLC HOPE Ministries. These 14 kids and their leader Angie Vandewarker were part of the SWAT (Students With Advanced Tec. Skills) team and their project was called SOCKS ( Serving Our Community Kid Style) We at GLC are so thankful for their donation. This will allow us to help many people in our community. |
