2002 - A small woman’s bible study group wanted to do something in their community that would make a difference.  They chose to help those financially unable to provide themselves with needed household items.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2003 - GLC was formed and acquired a 501 c  3  non-profit license.

 

2004 - GLC moved from it’s starting location in a pole barn to a store front on main street in Greenville, Michigan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2005 - While serving on a local homeless task force, it became apparent there was a definite need to help the homeless find shelter and the hungry to find a warm meal.

 

2005, March - God’s Love Closet changed it’s name to GLC HOPE Ministries.  Now God’s Love Closet and HOPE Rescue Mission are able to minister in our community helping those in need.

 

2005, December - GLC moved into it’s new location at 1015 East Washington in beautiful Greenville, Michigan.  This monumental move has allowed us the room to continue on our God Inspired mission.

 

2007, March 16th - GLC HOPE Rescue Mission opened it’s doors to the homeless and began it’s journey of helping men in the strengthening and rebuilding of  their lives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2007, April 19th - The ribbon cutting ceremony, making official the collaboration between a couples vision, and the City of Greenville’s commitment to helping those in the community.

 

2007 AND BEYOND… - With prayer and God’s continued blessings, many, many more good things to come...
